Investment Bank: Investment Banking & Capital Markets (IBCM)

Our Investment Banking & Capital Markets business provides advisory and financing products and services of a leading global investment bank. Our clients include large-cap and mid-cap corporates, financial institutions, governments, government agencies, and financial sponsors.

We provide buyside and sellside advisory services for mergers and acquisitions, restructuring advisory, debt and equity capital raising services (including our dedicated Environmental Social Governance (ESG) solutions), and structured equity transactions. We advise on innovative cross-border and regional transactions in the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific.

Role

Role: IBCM Coverage (Industry Coverage, M&A, Leveraged Finance)

As an IBCM Analyst Intern, you’ll work on projects to help our clients reach their financial goals. Your day-to-day tasks may vary depending on your business area. Responsibilities include:

• Performing in-depth company and industry research and analysis
• Supporting the execution of external client advisory and live financial transactions while managing multiple projects with rigid and, at times, global timelines
• Preparing marketing materials and transaction documentation, including confidential memoranda, pitch books, corporate profiles, and analysis
• Conducting detailed financial modeling, valuation, and forecasting of financial statements
• Understanding the Bank’s product suite

What We Look For

We recruit students and graduates who have:

• A strong foundational knowledge and interest in Corporate Finance and Accounting
• Confident, constructive, and effective communication skills
• Ability to solve problems, organize tasks, and work flexibly to manage multiple projects with rigid and fluctuating timelines, often driven by external client demands
• Interest and ability to work collaboratively across the Deutsche Bank platform and global teams in support of clients
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs

A formal mathematical or financial background isn’t required. Comprehensive training programs and apprentice-style learning will provide the technical skills you’ll need to build a career with us.

Eligibility for the 2027 Internship Program

To be eligible for the 2027 Internship Program, you must:

• Complete your studies (all final exams and coursework, with no outstanding requirements for graduation) between 1 December 2027 and 31 July 2028
• Be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and not require work visa sponsorship from Deutsche Bank, now or in the future, to retain authorization to work in the United States

Benefits and Wellbeing

Interns are not eligible for incentive compensation.
