This role requires 5 days working from the office.

Responsibilities

• Manual handling of items throughout the day weighing up to 25kg.
• Ensure all anomalies are reported to local management; accuracy is key, and all work must be checked.
• Service vehicles delivering/collecting at the facility and check contents according to invoices.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and wear PPE provided.
• Contribute to various audits carried out throughout the year on client accounts.
• Manage the entry/exit of staff and visitors, including control and monitoring of all CCTV systems.
• Control and monitor all alarm systems; check and validate visiting carrier vehicles and crew details.
• Control the access/egress of vehicles within the site in a safe and secure manner.
• Escalate all anomalies to the management team.
• Maintain accurate and current ID/signature lists of all carrier companies.
• Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations, and procedures applicable to the business activities involved.
• Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, and any issues raised by external regulators.

Qualifications / Skills

• Understanding of HSBC culture, compliance, and governance.
• Forklift licence preferable; training can be supplied to obtain a licence.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience dealing with security agents.
• Ability to prioritise and manage a large and varied workload while ensuring cut-off times are met.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Risk awareness, with the ability to understand and mitigate at appropriate levels.
• Flexibility and willingness to cover several roles when required.
• Honest and trustworthy, with successful background checks to include CTC (counter-terrorism check).
• Experience in a small team/unit environment.
• Experience using forklifts and electric/manual pallet trucks.
