Role: Junior Contract Analyst

MUFG Bank, Ltd., Singapore Branch is seeking a Junior Contract Analyst to provide day-to-day operational and administrative support to the Sales desk and related stakeholders in the processing of Treasury transactions, including Foreign Exchange (FX), FX Options, and Derivatives. This is a junior-level contract role suitable for candidates who are detail-oriented, eager to learn, and interested in building practical experience in banking operations and financial markets support.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Sales desk and Operations department in checking and inputting FX and FX Option deals into the Bank’s systems under guidance from senior team members.
• Assist in ensuring transactions are processed accurately and within required timelines.
• Coordinate with the Sales desk, Product Office, and Operations teams to clarify transaction details and support routine issue resolution.
• Assist with system-related enhancement and implementation activities by performing testing support, data checks, or documentation updates as required.
• Input data into relevant systems accurately and maintain data integrity across operational processes.
• Prepare routine reports, data summaries, and other operational materials to support functional activities and management reporting.
• Respond to routine internal queries in a timely manner and escalate non-routine or complex matters to senior team members.
• Perform basic verification of Treasury transaction details to support compliance with MUFG policies, internal procedures, and applicable local regulations.
• Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and data analysis under the guidance of more experienced team members.
• Provide general project implementation support, engaging with relevant stakeholders as required.
• Develop a working knowledge of relevant Treasury products, industry practices, regulations, and internal standards.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Banking, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline. Fresh graduates or candidates with limited relevant experience may be considered.
• Internship or early-career experience in banking operations, Treasury operations, Sales support, trade support, or financial markets operations will be advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of FX, FX Options, Derivatives, or other Treasury products is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow procedures in a controlled environment.
• Good communication skills and willingness to work with Front Office, Operations, Systems, and Head Office stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Able to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively in a team-oriented environment.
