Job Profile Summary
Transaction Services manages and provides trade and cash solutions to ING’s corporate clients. Trade Finance Services (TFS) and Working Capital Solutions (WCS) are the two pillars of ING’s trade solutions.
TFS originates, structures, and manages traditional trade products such as letters of credit, documentary collections, bank guarantees, and invoice financing. WCS originates, structures, and manages complex working capital financing solutions (receivables and payables based), typically on a limited or non-recourse basis. These include receivables finance and supplier finance solutions.
The team works closely with Transaction Services colleagues globally across Europe, the Americas, and Asia Pacific, where ING has eight branches and three representative offices.
Job Responsibilities
Support COE in the lifecycle of new transactions
The candidate will assist the COE team in activities throughout the lifecycle of a new transaction, from opportunity inception to execution of the first drawdown of a program. This includes:
- Conduct financial analysis of clients’ financial statements to support an internal credit rating used by the bank to determine credit appetite and program pricing
- Analyze receivables portfolios and clients’ cash conversion cycles to determine working capital requirements and identify opportunities
- Assist the deal principal in structuring and formulating trade solutions to meet client needs
- Create commercial presentations to explain proposed solutions to clients
- Assist in drafting commercial green light requests and credit proposals for approval of new programs
- Support the deal principal in drafting legal documentation, including receivables purchase agreements, risk participation agreements, payment service agreements, and related documents
Support COE in transactions management for existing programs
The candidate will support the COE team in managing existing programs, including:
- Manage the Asia portfolio using Excel and/or in-house applications to support operational flows, including checking eligibility of drawdowns, monitoring outstanding amounts, and reconciling settlements
- Work with Trade Finance Sales colleagues in other locations to process and resolve operational issues, if any
- Communicate with and assist clients on queries to ensure operational requirements are met
- Maintain and create operating and monitoring procedure manuals for end-to-end flows of existing and new programs
- Monitor and report covenants of existing programs
- Liaise with Treasury and back office teams to ensure timely processing of transactions
Support COE in annual reviews of existing programs
The candidate will support annual reviews, including:
- Draft renewal proposals or credit modifications, including updating internal ratings and financial information of relevant parties
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to obtain advice and approvals required for renewal or modification of programs
- Assist in ad hoc projects and marketing activities when required

Skills & Specifications
- Critical mindset, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Hands-on approach, willingness to learn, and ability to perform well in a fast and dynamic environment
- Ability to work autonomously and handle multiple projects/deals simultaneously
- Good communicator and team player
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; Salesforce experience is a plus
- Prior experience in credit and/or financial analysis and financial accounting
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 1–2 years of prior experience in a trade finance role, ideally in working capital solutions
- Good understanding of credit risk, trade finance solutions, and experience in deal execution
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; Mandarin or Korean (business level) is a plus to support the client base in Taiwan, China, and Korea
- An academic degree in economics, management, law, or an equivalent discipline
