Job Description & Program Overview

The Global Markets Chief Operating Office (COO) supports multiple product teams in equities, fixed income, currencies and commodities. It also facilitates critical business functions within Global Markets, including business controls, data management, business governance, and regulatory enablement. The teams collaborate to understand the unique complexities of each group, ensuring seamless, efficient operations aligned with Global Markets’ strategic objectives.

As a summer analyst in the Global Markets COO group, you will be exposed to a broad range of responsibilities while learning the fundamentals of the role. Your development is a top priority, with comprehensive training at program start, ongoing on-the-job support, educational speaker sessions, and dedicated mentorship throughout your experience. Key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

• Supporting multiple projects simultaneously, contributing both independently and as a team member
• Assisting the team in improving operational efficiency and implementing best practices for frontline business activities
• Conducting analyses to streamline processes, including operational loss reviews, reporting gaps, and audit issue summaries
• Communicating and collaborating effectively with team members and stakeholders across different product groups and functional teams
• Learning to navigate and understand the challenges, risk factors, and regulatory requirements for the teams you support
• Preparing and updating documentation, reports, and presentations as directed by your manager
• Participating in meetings, training sessions, and product-specific workshops to build understanding of the Global Markets environment

By taking on these responsibilities, summer analysts gain valuable exposure to the dynamic world of Global Markets and begin to develop the skills necessary to succeed in a COO role supporting diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Students must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or a Bachelor’s direct-to-Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a graduation timeframe between November 2027 and August 2028
• Demonstrated track record of superior performance in extracurricular and professional activities
• Minimum 3.2 GPA preferred
• Strong quantitative/analytical skills with attention to detail
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with Copilot
• Strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and oral communication skills
• Assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic, teamwork
• Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities
