Overview

Penultimate-year undergraduate or master’s student with outstanding academic achievement seeking a summer internship with the opportunity for 2028 full-time conversion. Strong quantitative and analytical skills, effective verbal and written communication, and comfort with change and shifting requirements. A strong team player who is client-focused, energetic, and driven. Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in an additional Asian language is highly advantageous.

Enterprise Credit is a front-office function that works closely with origination teams such as Corporate Banking, Capital Markets, and Global Payments Solutions to devise and deliver solutions to customers. It is responsible for credit analysis, credit paper preparation, and execution of a range of financial transactions, as well as the ongoing monitoring and management of portfolio quality and exposures.

What you’ll do

  • Provide analytical and other support for senior team members and assist with origination (Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets, Global Payments Solutions, etc.), risk, and other support functions to support balanced portfolio growth.
  • Learn from and work with teams across the business, including senior members, product and support partners, and colleagues globally.
  • Analyze customer financial strength, business strategy, market factors, and regulatory environment to assist credit memos and support portfolio management of various Financial Institutions Customers (Government FIs, Banks, Broker-Dealers, Insurers, Funds, etc.) and Corporate Clients.
  • Perform various statistical and financial analyses.
  • Conduct comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research.
  • Develop familiarity with legal documents – trading documentation, loan agreements, etc.
  • Develop an understanding of internal policy, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure full compliance.
  • Develop product knowledge across a wide range of credit products, including loans, derivatives, trade finance, cash management, and treasury products.

Program Overview

The Summer Program is a 10-week internship designed to provide Summer Analysts with exposure to Bank of America and meaningful contributions to the team. The program begins with orientation and induction to the firm. Summer Analysts experience responsibilities akin to those of an associate and participate in goal-setting and formal reviews.
