Overview
Penultimate year undergraduate or master’s student with outstanding academic achievement seeking a summer internship with the opportunity for 2028 full-time conversion. Background in mathematics, engineering, statistics, or programming is advantageous. Strong interest in global financial markets and factors that impact them. Excellent Excel and modeling skills, strong quantitative and analytical abilities, and effective verbal and written communication. Comfortable with change and able to adapt to changing demands and requirements. A strong team player who is client-focused, energetic, driven, and creative in problem solving. Demonstrates a keen interest in the business. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in an additional Asian language is advantageous.

Global Markets provides banking products and services through Bank of America and trading and other broker-dealer products and services, including research through BofA Securities. Our institutional clients span fixed-income, credit, commodity, and equity businesses. Global Markets covers securities and derivative products in both primary and secondary markets. We work with commercial and corporate clients to provide risk management products using interest rate, equity, credit, and commodity derivatives, fixed-income, and mortgage-related products. To support institutional investor clients globally in their investing and trading activities, the Global Markets team offers financing, securities clearing, settlement, and custody services, and we also provide foreign exchange products.
What you’ll do
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist on sales, trading, and hedging activities
- Assess market trends and provide quantitative data for clients
- Perform market and quantitative research analysis
- Help originate, structure, and model transactions
- Assist in structuring, pricing, and executing trades
- Help build knowledge of clients' investment needs, assess market trends and macroeconomic themes, and help create appropriate solutions
- Assist in providing quantitative data and succinct, comprehensive explanations of complex concepts to clients
- Work with teams to develop marketing presentations that promote fixed income and equity products and develop new business
- Assist in developing new products and bringing them to market
- Educate clients about complex structures and technical products
- Rotate across two to three different desks during the internship

Program specifics:
- Summer Analysts will rotate across two to three desks during the internship
- Placement is determined after the hiring process based on business needs and the Summer Analyst’s interests and skills
Program Overview
The Summer Program is a 10-week program designed to provide Summer Analysts with a unique opportunity to gain exposure to life at Bank of America and make meaningful contributions to the team. The program begins with orientation and onboarding. Summer Analysts receive an associate-like experience, with assignments mirroring full-time responsibility, goal setting, and a formal review process. Benefits include:
