Overview

Penultimate year undergraduate or master’s student with outstanding academic achievement who is seeking a summer internship with the opportunity for 2028 full-time conversion. Must demonstrate a track record of superior performance in extracurricular and professional activities, and a combination of strong quantitative/analytical skills, attention to detail, and client focus. Demonstrates strategic and creative thinking, distinguished written and oral communications skills, assertiveness, initiative, leadership, a strong work ethic, and a team orientation. Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities; comfortable with change and able to adapt to changing demands and requirements. Demonstrates energy and drive and dedication to building a career in the investment banking industry. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in an additional Asian language is highly advantageous.

What you’ll do

As a Summer Analyst, your key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Developing and maintaining complex financial models
• Performing various financial analyses, including valuations and merger consequences
• Conducting comprehensive company and industry research
• Preparing presentations and other materials for clients
• Participating in due diligence sessions and communications with deal teams
• Managing several projects simultaneously and working effectively as an individual and as part of a team
• Working on projects alongside bankers in specific industry, product, and country coverage groups
• Helping the team deliver solutions to clients leveraging the bank’s full capabilities
• Developing and leveraging a global network and learning from teams across the firm
• Building relationships, knowledge, and experience for future career opportunities

Program Overview

The Summer Analyst program is a 10-week experience designed to provide exposure to life at Bank of America and to make meaningful contributions to the team. It begins with orientation and induction, with assignments mirroring full-time responsibility and including goal setting and a formal review process. Participants have access to the bank’s learning hub, formal training, on-the-job support, educational speaker events, and mentorship throughout the program.

Unique to Bank of America is the Chief Resource Officer (CRO), who manages and optimizes the junior banker experience. The CRO partners with senior leadership to instill the firm’s culture, ensure work/life balance, and provide a well-rounded, engaging experience for junior bankers. In some countries, Summer Analysts may be placed in a generalist team or directly with a specific team, with placement determined by business needs and the analyst’s interests and skills.

Program Details

The Summer Program is a 10-week program offering a broad and exciting experience of work as a full-time Investment Banking Analyst. It includes an orientation, true associate-level experience, goal setting, a formal review process, access to learning resources, structured and on-the-job training, networking and social opportunities, speaker series with senior management, and Corporate Social Responsibility activities. There is consideration for full-time employment upon graduation.
