Your Opportunity

CARM is an operational risk management team under OCBC Consumer Financial Services (CFS) Singapore. The team partners with the CFS Business Risk Management Team (BRMT) and the CFS AML & Sanctions Advisory Team to manage CFS AML risk in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities in proactive AML risk management for aspiring AML professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyzing new and existing customers’ profiles and transactions for sanctions, money laundering (ML), and terrorism financing (TF) risks.
  • Providing risk assessments of customers’ profiles and transactions, highlighting key risk areas for attention.
  • Recommending effective risk-mitigating strategies for senior management consideration.
  • Implementing approved risk-mitigating strategies with thorough and consistent execution.

Key Learnings & Duties

Key learnings and duties include one or more of the following AML/CFT control and risk mitigation activities:

  • Processing of escalated name screening alerts and/or transaction activity alerts.
  • Processing priority requests from compliance or local authorities.
  • Reviewing and/or filing internal Suspicious Transaction Reports (UTR) to assess whether further escalation to Group Regulatory Compliance Unit for STR filing is required.
  • Conducting Standard or Enhanced Customer Due Diligence reviews.
  • Managing requests for information and documents from customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Exiting and closing banking relationships with customers.
  • Tracking activity progress through MIS updates and reporting.
  • Providing AML advisory support to internal stakeholders where required.
  • Participating in on-demand risk management projects and activities, including optimization, RPA, and AI RegTech initiatives.

Academic Requirement

Diploma or degree holders aspiring to develop a career in AML risk management.

Experience

Added advantage for individuals with:

  • Minimum 2 years of sanctions/AML/CFT operational experience, and/or
  • Certification in Sanctions / AML / CFT.

Technical Skills

Technical knowledge and understanding of Singapore’s regulatory requirements relating to sanctions, money laundering, and terrorism financing.
