Job Overview

This role sits within the front office and will be working on a dynamic and busy trading floor, servicing institutional and corporate accounts and managing the electronic FX trading platform. As an Analyst in the Currencies Emerging Markets Trading team, you will help manage risk, liquidity, and exposure, and drive all aspects of the trading desk: pre-trade analysis, trade execution, and the design of optimal risk management for large trades. You will track supply and demand, evaluate market developments to provide clients with innovative solutions, and work with internal groups to deliver new products. The desk primarily deals in fixed income and foreign exchange. This position is based in Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility for managing our electronic FX/NDFs/STIRT franchise, including price delivery, risk management, and data analytics
- Respond to day-to-day client requests and needs
- Understand market drivers, market moves, and the numbers behind them, including cross-asset implications
- Perform data analysis of the business and its drivers of revenue
- Understand drivers of relevant markets and establish a high degree of competence with clients around executing trades
- Understand the firm's approach and policies for managing risks in relevant business areas and applicable legal and regulatory rules, and follow policies
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, KDB, Java, or C++)
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in FX/EM FX
- Understanding of different types of risk and ability to discuss ways of managing these risks using optimal strategies
- Thorough understanding of drivers of relevant markets and ability to explain and anticipate market movements
- Ability to thrive under competitive pressure and remain focused on client needs
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences
Preferred Qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Experience in FX/NDF/STIRT e-trading
- Demonstrated proficiency with Python
- Ability to perform data analysis and present findings clearly and concisely
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently
