Software Engineer Intern, Embedded Firmware

Job Description

Be part of a team that designs, implements, tests and validates software for state-of-the-art networking products. Apply and build on your existing technical knowledge on-the-job, with opportunities to grow and expand into other platform work. Understand and gather project requirements, design sub-modules and investigate accordingly. Identify risk factors and mitigate those risks. Debug issues observed, derive fixes, and drive issue closure with relevant parties. Participate actively in technical discussions, enable decision-making and progress. Proactively engage others in discussions whenever necessary. Articulate technical proposals/justifications/issues and provide clear technical updates to the team lead and manager regularly on progress. Ensure timely deliverables of assigned tasks and be accountable for the highest quality delivery of our work for all our products.

“Must-have” Requirements

• Able to start in January
• Able to commit for a minimum of 20 weeks
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent program
• Solid understanding of software development principles
• Experience with software development tools and processes
• Knowledge of C programming
• Interest and ability to conduct issues investigation and develop solutions
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, eager and quick learner
• Passion for technology
• Team player, able to collaborate and work with global and cross-functional teams
