Program Summary

The CACIB Sustainable Investment Banking team leads financial products and solutions with Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) features. The trainee should be available to start from July 2026. The program lasts one year with potential extension up to two years, subject to performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the team in preparing materials for potential transactions.
• Participate in the execution of mandated transactions (document preparation, investor presentations, reporting, internal record logging, etc.).
• Assist the team with routine tasks including newsletters, data analysis, research on innovative topics and trends, and related activities.

Mandatory Reference Checking

In accordance with the Mandatory Reference Checking (MRC) Scheme implemented by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), a successful candidate for an In-Scope Position who has held a position with an In-Scope Institution in the past seven years will be subject to a mandatory reference check. Candidate Criteria

Education

• Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent
• Master or Bachelor degree holders with strong academic background; preference in Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, Science or Engineering, Environmental Management / Engineering

Experience

• 0–2 years of experience
• Prior experience in sustainability and/or global financial markets is an advantage

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, with strong ethics, integrity, commitment, and responsibility
• Responsible, self-initiative, disciplined, team-player
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities with capacity to provide analysis and solutions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint; familiarity with AI tools and other PC applications

Languages

• Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese
• Korean or other APAC language capabilities are a plus
