Job Summary

We are seeking a Developer with strong communication and customer-facing skills to join our team in London. The ideal candidate will have experience in coding with C# or Java and an interest in Financial Services. Key competencies include analytical thinking, rapid learning, and applying technical skills to achieve practical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Participate in projects to develop and enhance the feature set of front-office systems for foreign exchange trading.
• Manage a variety of DevOps-style project deliveries and BAU (business-as-usual) deliveries within the Sharp FX ecosystem.
• Progress market connectivity goals, DevOps initiatives, and pricing-related objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent. Graduated within the past 18 months with a minimum of a 2:1 or equivalent.

Experience

• Experience working collaboratively in a team to achieve common goals.

Required Skills

• Interest in financial markets, particularly front-office operations.
• Understanding of agile project delivery methods.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to deliver under pressure.
• Analytical thinking with the ability to apply it to practical outcomes.
• Strong desire to learn quickly and continuously improve.

Technical Skills

• Exposure to Java and some knowledge of SQL.
• Some knowledge of scripting languages such as Python is desirable.
