As a Relationship Banker in a Chase Branch, you will represent our brand and culture with hospitality, utilizing the latest banking solutions and financial technology combined with attentive service. You will take a lead role in acquiring, managing, and retaining meaningful client relationships, using your financial knowledge to offer thoughtful solutions to address their financial needs and support the branch’s success.
Job responsibilities
- Put clients first and exceed their expectations by delivering attentive and friendly service in a welcoming environment.
- Manage assigned clients and proactively meet with them, in person and by phone, to build lasting relationships, understand financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
- Engage in clear, polite, consultative communication to understand and help clients, building trust by asking questions and listening to anticipate their needs.
- Educate and connect clients to technology solutions such as the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs to assist with banking needs whenever, wherever, and however they choose.
- Learn products, services, and procedures quickly to effectively consult with clients about banking solutions and collaborate with our team of experts for specialized financial needs.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 1+ year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or related industries with a proven track record of acquiring new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
- Ability to create memorable experiences for clients and elevate the client experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone, with the ability to tailor features and benefits of products and services to clients with differing needs.
- Ability to quickly and effectively resolve client issues with attention to detail and consistency in the client experience.
- Operate within established risk parameters and meet internal/external risk and compliance obligations, including completion of required training.
- High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent.
- The Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, state registration (including 63 if required), and Life licenses are minimum requirements. All unlicensed applicants must obtain their licenses through JPMorgan Chase’s licensing program within 180 days of hire, with study materials and support provided.
- Ability to work branch hours including weekends and some evenings.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- College degree or military equivalent.
- Experience adhering to banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act and NMLS
This position is subject to the Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. Employment offers are contingent on JPMorgan Chase's review of criminal conviction history, credit report, information via NMLS, and other information relevant to determining financial responsibility and fitness for the position. Note that any felony conviction within the last seven years will disqualify you from consideration. Continued employment is contingent upon compliance with Truth in Lending Act/Dodd-Frank requirements.
Additionally, this position requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Upon active employment, you will be required to register on NMLS or update your existing registration as necessary to reflect employment with JPMorgan Chase. Continued employment is contingent upon compliance with the SAFE Act, including successful registration after your start date and timely renewal/updates.
