Role details

Job Description

  • Conduct daily site construction activities for the project and liaise with consultants, vendors, contractors, and customers.
  • Prepare presentation slides, MSRA, micro schedule, look-ahead plans, and daily/monthly reports during construction, testing, and commissioning.
  • Oversee, manage, monitor, control, and report on site activities of subcontractors, coordinating on-site with other partners’ subcontractors.
  • Conduct construction and QA/QC inspection/testing for the area of responsibility.
  • Attend all relevant WSH activities such as safety site walks, TBM, audits, safety stand-downs, etc.
  • Interact with project technical support for relevant site work and liaise with other engineers during project execution and commissioning.
  • Liaise with local authorities and stakeholders related to assigned construction activities.
  • Manage equipment packages as needed and ensure technical compliance from suppliers and vendors.
  • Coordinate on-site logistics, interfacing with cranes and machinery.
  • Prepare technical submissions for proposals (when needed), including drawings, layout, and interface requirements.
  • Independently chair and lead subcontractor meetings and attend stakeholder, client, partner, and authority meetings as required.
  • Any other instruction or direction from management.

Job Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Fresh graduate or 1–2 years of relevant experience in design or construction.
  • Familiarity with process engineering, mechanical systems, and related standards is an advantage.
  • Experience in thermal power plants, process industries, and mechanical handling equipment is an advantage.
  • Possess the right work attitude and be willing to work on site full time.
  • Experience with BIM and hands-on AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Knowledge of engineering, planning, and design software is an advantage.
  • Willing to work in Tuas, Singapore.
  • Willing to work on rotating shifts, including Saturdays and Sundays, with leave-in-lieu arrangements.
  • Possession of a Singapore Driving License is required; if not, willingness to convert the current license to a Singapore Driving License.
  • This is a 2-year contract role.
