Internship Overview: IT – Application Management

We are looking for proactive and analytical interns to join the IT – Application Management team. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in Life Insurance product development, product launch, system enhancement, business analysis, and digital transformation initiatives. Interns will have the opportunity to support requirements gathering, process analysis, testing activities, data analysis, and project delivery while collaborating with business users, IT teams, and vendors. Depending on the assigned stream, interns will support either Product Launch or System Enhancement projects and gain exposure to AI, automation, and innovative technologies that drive operational efficiency and business growth.

Product Launch Responsibilities

• Support Life Insurance product launch, repricing, and system enhancement projects.
• Gather and document business requirements, process flows, and project materials.
• Participate in SIT/UAT testing, defect tracking, and result validation.
• Conduct data analysis and reconciliation using Excel and SQL.
• Work closely with business users, IT teams, and vendors to support project delivery.
• Assist in AI projects and adopt AI tools like Copilot Studio to improve efficiency.

System Enhancement Responsibilities

• Support Life insurance product development and business analysis activities.
• Assist in requirements gathering, process documentation, and impact assessments.
• Analyze sales and distribution processes to identify improvement opportunities.
• Participate in AI, automation, and digital transformation initiatives for Core System.

Qualifications and Attributes

• Major in Computer Science or related disciplines.
• Knowledge of Java programming, MS SQL, DB2 SQL, NoSQL, and JSON/XML.
• Experience in programming with relational databases.
• Exposure to REST APIs, GitHub, MS Azure Portal, MS Azure SQL Database, and Postman would be an advantage.
• Strong logical thinking, willing to take challenges, energetic, positive, and with an innovative mindset.
• Energetic, proactive, and positive, with an innovative mindset and a strong sense of initiative.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Cantonese. Proficiency in Mandarin would be an advantage.
