Are you keen on helping shape the future of Allianz in Asia, a key region of growth for the organization? Join our regional agency/bancassurance distribution team in the Asian headquarters and experience first-hand the inner workings and strategic steering of the Life and Health insurance business units. You will collaborate with various external and internal stakeholders and support the regional team in different projects, contributing to the transformation of the distribution channel. This is your chance to gain insights and valuable practical experience in the financial services and insurance industry, specifically in the areas of corporate strategy and distribution, all while working in an international environment with exposure to various markets in Asia.

What You Will Do

• Support analysis regarding distribution management activities using management dashboards and reports in areas like distribution and corporate strategy (e.g., financial KPIs, growth metrics, competitor analysis).
• Analyze current trends, key players, and market developments across Asia.
• Review company financials, growth drivers, and economic factors changing the insurance landscape in Asia.
• Provide data analysis and interpretation of relevant agency, bancassurance, customer, and market data.
• Contribute to and support the regional growth strategy to transform the distribution channel.
• Perform project management on ad-hoc strategic initiatives related to the development and execution of distribution ecosystem strategies.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders across the region.
• Support the creation of convincing market development pitches through the activities mentioned above.

Through these tasks, the intern will gain exposure, understand business steering activities, and learn about the development of distribution strategies for an international insurer by participating in real-life tasks and assisting team members.

What You Bring

• Highly motivated with an affinity to work in a high-performance team; fast learning is key.
• Excellent command of PowerPoint and Excel, and AI tools such as ChatGPT and Microsoft CoPilot.
• Programming and data analytics skills are a plus.
• Good presentation and communication skills.
• Self-driven and team-oriented working style.
• Attention to detail.
• Dynamic, growth mindset with a can-do attitude.
• Ability to multitask in a collaborative environment.
• Interest in the role of agency distribution in the insurance value chain.
• Previous work experience in consulting, actuarial, or financial services is a plus.
• Bachelor degree (preferably in Business Admin, Economics, or Actuarial).
• Penultimate or Final Year Bachelor students only.
• Commitment to full-time work and legal eligibility to work in Singapore for 6 months.
