What does the Fund Finance Team do in ING?

ING’s Financial Institutions (FI) sector combines relationship management, multi-product sales, and structured lending for Bank and Non-bank Financial Institutions (NBFI). NBFI clients include sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, pension funds, securities companies, and alternative and traditional asset managers. Fund Finance is a strategic suite of products designed to provide financing solutions to these alternative and traditional asset managers/financial sponsors. It is a key growth area within the FI sector aimed at providing relationship capital and value-accretive financings to these key clients. Fund Finance APAC works in sync with a wider team located in London, Luxembourg, and New York, focusing on providing financing solutions to similar private capital vehicles.

What will you be doing?

• Work closely with the Fund Finance APAC team in the origination and execution of capital call facilities and other solutions to private equity, private debt, real estate, and infrastructure funds.
• Assist with the management of clients and transactions, which includes customer due diligence, deal support, and client monitoring.
• Prepare communications for various internal stakeholders, including pipeline, transaction status, and other portfolio updates.
• Cooperate closely with other ING teams and assist on ad hoc projects as required.

Qualities and Skills We Are Looking For

We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:

Qualification

• 2nd to final year undergraduate with a demonstrated interest in banking and finance.

Skills & Competencies

• Basic understanding of how a wholesale bank operates and its business model.
• Ability to work within deadlines with limited supervision and a high level of initiative.
• Willingness to learn and contribute meaningfully to the team and the bank as a whole.
• Prior exposure to structured lending or fund finance concepts would be advantageous.
• Ability to communicate clearly with fluent spoken and written English.
• Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
