The Team

Our Global Capital Markets (GCM) business encompasses Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Leveraged Finance (LevFin), and the Sustainable Solutions Group (SSG). Across these businesses, we assist our clients in accessing and navigating financial markets and provide tailored capital markets solutions to address a broad range of objectives.

Our client base includes investment grade and sub-investment grade corporates, financial institutions, private equity firms, and sovereign, supranational, and SSA issuers.

This London-based internship will be within DCM, which covers products such as bonds, loans, capital products, liability management, and FX and rates solutions.

Programme Overview

The Off-Cycle Analyst programme is designed to provide a broad and exciting experience of what it is like to work as a full-time Capital Markets analyst. If successful in applying for this London programme, you will be assigned to the DCM team.

DCM Analysts within our GCM team are involved in originating and executing a wide variety of debt solutions for our clients. We advise a broad client base—including corporates, financial institutions, and sovereign, supranational, and SSA issuers in both developed and emerging markets across EMEA.

Specifically, our focus is on advisory, structuring, and execution solutions for clients seeking to raise new debt financing using a range of products to meet their objectives. You will collaborate with our GCM partners and Corporate and Investment bankers to advise on optimal financing methods for acquisitions, general financing needs, or balance sheet strengthening. Furthermore, you will work with sales teams and traders in Global Markets to manage live deal execution, and liaise with Global Research to stay informed on market developments.

Responsibilities

As an off-cycle analyst, your key tasks and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting DCM professionals with deal origination and execution across a diverse range of product areas.
• Working as a product specialist directly with top-management-level clients to create and deliver financing solutions through DCM products (bonds, loans, FX, and rates).
• Developing a strong understanding of market fundamentals to make market-informed contributions on various financing strategies tailored to client needs.
• Designing highly tailored presentations for clients, including outlining solutions to meet bank regulatory capital requirements and optimize capital stacks.
• Working on live transactions and interacting with clients and professionals across the bank to build your network and experience.
• Collaborating with Investment Banking and Corporate Banking teams on client coverage and origination, and with the broader GCM team to advise on holistic financing solutions.
• Working with sales teams and traders in Global Markets to coordinate and manage live deal executions, and liaising with Global Research for the latest market insights.

Eligibility and Requirements

• Education: Candidates must have already received or be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • For graduates, the graduation date must be after January 2026.
  • For current students, completion must be before July 2027 (completion means all final exams, coursework, and requirements are fulfilled). We reserve the right to request evidence of this completion date prior to extending an offer.
• On track for a minimum 2:1 degree classification or equivalent.
• Availability: Candidates must be available to join the programme on Monday, January 11th, 2027, for an initial four-month period with an option to extend by two months. If offered a full-time role, candidates must be available to join the graduate programme in July 2027. Deferred start dates are not available.

• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in any European language is highly desirable.
