The Markets department at Mizuho is a dynamic, client-focused division delivering a comprehensive suite of financial services across Fixed Income, FX, Structuring, and Equities to institutional clients globally.

What will I be doing?

Over 10 weeks, you’ll work directly with our Global Markets Sales and Trading teams, gaining hands-on experience across our product offering. You’ll have the opportunity to gain exposure to:

• Macro: Supporting activities across European government and supranational bonds, interest rate swaps, FX, local currency trading, and repo financing. These activities are driven by macroeconomic trends, central bank policy, and client hedging needs.
• Credit: Gaining insight into flow credit across corporates and financial institutions, including investment-grade and high-yield bonds and emerging market debt. The business works closely with Debt Capital Markets, supporting new issuances and secondary market trading.
• Loans: Gaining exposure to the secondary loans business, supporting the distribution of primary loan facilities to institutional investors and facilitating risk transfer for corporate banking clients.
• Structured Financing: Learning how bespoke financing solutions are developed to meet the specific needs of Mizuho’s clients.

Throughout the internship, you’ll gain insight into how financial markets operate and how market movements, economic developments, and client requirements drive activity across the business.

What are we looking for?

You should:

• Be in your penultimate year of study, with an expected graduation in 2028 (please ensure this is clearly stated on your CV and updated on your GRB profile).
• Be available to complete the 10-week internship starting in June 2027.
• Be available for full-time employment from September 2028.
• Have a genuine interest in financial markets and financial services.
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused, and results-driven environment.
