Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Analyst

Group Overview:

Equity Capital Markets (ECM) originates, advises, structures, and executes equity and equity-linked offerings for corporates and financial sponsors. ECM operates at the intersection of Evercore’s investment banking advisory business and the Evercore ISI research/sales & trading business, servicing clients by providing underwriting capabilities across IPOs, follow-ons, spin-offs, and convertible/derivative strategies.

Position Summary

Evercore is seeking an Analyst for its team located in New York City, preferably with ECM-specific experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Analysts in ECM participate actively in the origination and execution of all deal activity. Specific duties include:

• Creating materials for pitches and other client meetings.
• Analyzing companies, sectors, deal activity, corporate filings, and shareholder data.
• Building relationships with internal and external deal constituents.
• Constructing and managing internal deal and investor-related databases.
• Communicating and coordinating with members across the broader Evercore team, including corporate advisory (coverage, restructuring, shareholder activism and defense) and Evercore ISI (research, sales & trading).
• Assisting in identifying and targeting new business opportunities.
• Developing and defining equity offering strategies and advising corporate clients appropriately.
• Shaping positioning and valuation strategies for clients marketing themselves to public investors.
• Supporting senior bankers on equity transaction execution and new business origination.
• Developing and maintaining institutional investor relationships to market transactions and provide client feedback in deal and non-deal settings.
• Maintaining real-time knowledge of capital market trends and macro/microeconomic themes that drive equity markets and investor sentiment.
• Developing and maintaining equity marketing materials, including the creation of pitch books and related client materials.
• Participating in other projects as requested by management.

Compensation and Benefits

Expected Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000
