Citi’s Private Company Access team, within the Global Access Strategies Division of the Client Group, connects our institutional clients with private corporates, industry experts, and theme-related events as part of our research advisory offering. The team collaborates closely with Research, Equity Sales, Trading, and Banking. Our objective is to build a strong engagement strategy with private companies, delivering a seamless client experience. This enables Citi to be favorably considered for mandates related to private capital raising, IPOs, and M&A opportunities. We focus on integrating other Citi areas, such as liquidity solutions, wealth, and ventures, to unify the Citi franchise for client benefit.

The team develops a comprehensive program of conferences, seminars, and client events, covering enduring topics or reacting quickly to breaking news by mobilizing key experts from Citi and external thought leaders.

This role is vital to the effective delivery and execution of the events designed to connect private companies and investors. The successful candidate will partner with the broader team to understand best practices for managing all event elements. Furthermore, the role is crucial in ensuring a seamless experience for both internal stakeholders and external clients, requiring close coordination with the Corporate Access team and broader sales and banking teams.

This position demands meticulous attention to detail in making judgments and recommendations. It frequently addresses variable issues with potentially broad business impact, requiring professional judgment in interpreting data and results. Given its direct influence on client perception of Citi as a broader institution, the successful candidate must be responsive and highly attentive to client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Corporate Access team to deliver conferences and other events, such as Webcasts, non-deal roadshows, and roundtables. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • 1-on-1 and group meeting scheduling
    • Agenda planning
    • Invitation tracking and sending
  • Understand Citi's systems and ways of working to effectively execute objectives.
  • Collaborate with sales, IB, ECM, and other teams to develop and execute investor targeting strategies for corporates.
  • Partner with broader areas of Citi to maximize collaboration on complex events, engaging all stakeholders with access to investors across banking for corporate targeting.
  • Act constructively and proactively to find solutions to problems and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Work with control functions, including Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, and Finance, to adhere to governance and control infrastructure.
  • Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance, supervision, expense discipline, and ethics.
  • Appropriately assess the risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation.
  • Adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services.
  • Adhere to all role-defined policies and procedures.
  • Obtain and maintain all required registrations/licenses within the appropriate timeframe.
  • Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, showing particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues transparently.

Qualifications

  • 1-5 years of previous relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to deal with most problems independently and demonstrated experience solving complex problems.
  • Ability to integrate in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas comprehensively.
  • Self-starter with an acumen to think and solve problems independently.
  • Commitment to quality and client satisfaction.

Education

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range: $86,330.00 - $120,470.00
