Capital Markets Internship (Healthcare, Industrials, Enterprise Tech)

What the Intern Can Learn

• Exposure to the Capital Markets team’s sectors/products/support, with insights into Singapore capital markets, in particular equity and debt securities.
• Opportunities to support the team in client management involving SGX listed companies and institutional clients.
• Networking opportunities with market participants through corporate events and meetings.
• Opportunities to work with other SGX departments through projects and company events.
• For a more holistic experience, support on marketing and business/product development efforts in debt capital markets and corporate institutional client engagements.

Job Description

Primarily focused on marketing and business/product development efforts in equity capital markets (ECM). Responsibilities include:

• Create and update internal databases/files and periodic internal reports.
• Prepare pitch decks, meeting briefs, and minutes.
• Conduct desktop research on market and industry; gather and analyse information/data to support the team’s marketing and strategy development efforts (e.g., researching opportunities and assisting with lead/target identification).
• Support stakeholder engagement (e.g., companies, equity/bond issuers, market professionals, government agencies, investors, family offices, etc.).
• Support the planning and execution of marketing/corporate/client engagement events (virtual and physical) and post-event activities (e.g., social media).
• Perform other assignments and ad hoc requests as required by the team.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Commit to the agreed period of internship.
• Good command of English (written and oral).
• Ability to read, write, and speak Chinese.
• Comfort and proficiency with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as social media and other media applications.
• Detail-oriented and numerically literate.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently, and meet deadlines.
