Job Summary

Crédit Agricole CIB Global Markets Research is an international team of 40 research professionals across 8 major financial centers. The team builds close relationships with clients and provides personalized analysis.

The data team is expanding to further leverage expertise in rates, credit, FX, Emerging and Equity markets, as well as the data infrastructure built over the years. The new team member will focus on expanding the scope of macroeconomic and sectoral data (Industrials, ESG, Retail, Autos, Emerging Markets, etc.). The intern will contribute to the ongoing development of the data infrastructure and support teams with their data needs, including data extractions, transformations, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Data Extraction and Integration

  • Collect data from various sources, including databases and APIs, then integrate it into the central data system.
  • Clean and format collected data to ensure consistency and usability.
  • Participate in the development and optimization of data models and schemas for efficient storage and retrieval.
  • Develop scripts to automate data updates.

Data Quality Assurance and Documentation

  • Conduct regular checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data being processed.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data extraction, integration, and automation processes.
  • Assist in developing data quality metrics and dashboards to monitor ongoing data integrity.

Collaboration and Reporting

  • Work closely with analysts to understand their data needs and ensure integration into the data infrastructure.
  • Prepare reports and visualizations to present results of data extraction and integration processes.

Research and Innovation

  • Suggest new tools or methodologies to improve existing workflows.
  • Design and develop quantitative indicators to support research analysis.

Candidate Criteria

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (BSc) or equivalent
  • Engineering degree or a Master’s degree in a relevant field (data engineering, computer science, computer information systems, data/analytics, data science)

Required Skills

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Autonomous working style with a strong sense of team spirit
  • Organized, rigorous, and curious to learn about the financial environment

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, Git, and C#
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts and techniques to design efficient data structures
  • Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools
  • Good understanding of IA, MCP, and Agents

Languages

  • English or French (spoken and written)
