Position

Strategy Insights & Planning Consultant – Intern

ZS’s Insights & Analytics group partners with clients to design and deliver solutions for a broad range of business challenges. Our teams work on multiple projects simultaneously, leveraging advanced data analytics and problem-solving techniques. Our recommendations and solutions are based on rigorous research and analysis, supported by deep expertise and thought leadership.

Strategy Insights & Planning Consultants deliver high-quality solutions for clients. Consultants possess unstructured problem-solving skills, as well as strong analytical, synthesis, and communication skills. They may work on multiple projects simultaneously and, as they advance in their careers, specialize in a particular industry, practice area, and/or client relationship.

What You’ll Do

• Lead workstreams and project teams.
• Partner with senior client stakeholders to identify business challenges and define opportunities.
• Develop AI and digital transformation strategies, operating models, governance frameworks, and implementation roadmaps.
• Lead qualitative and quantitative research efforts to assess market trends, customer needs, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes.
• Structure ambiguous business problems and develop actionable recommendations using hypothesis-driven problem solving.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear business implications for executive audiences.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and technology teams to shape AI solutions that align with client business objectives.
• Drive client workshops, executive presentations, and strategic discussions with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of ZS’s AI strategy capabilities, thought leadership, and intellectual property.
• Help develop and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for additional impact and growth.

What You’ll Bring

• Currently in the first year of an MBA program.
• A bachelor’s degree, and often a graduate degree, in business, economics, marketing, psychology, physical or life sciences, engineering, applied mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
• Three to five years of pre-MBA work experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading client-facing projects and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Strong understanding of AI, generative AI, machine learning, emerging digital technologies, and their business applications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and structured-thinking skills.
• Strong communication and executive presentation capabilities.
• Fluency in English.
• A client-first mentality.
• An intense work ethic.
• A collaborative spirit and problem-solving approach.

Hybrid Working Model

Travel

Travel is required for client-facing ZSers, based on the business needs of the project and client. While some projects may be local, all client-facing employees should be prepared to travel as needed.
