Preference is given to candidates with 0–1 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development. Relevant coursework or internship experience in finance, accounting, or economics will also be considered. Please note this position requires an immediate start.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Building, maintaining, and stress-testing financial models (three-statement, DCF, comparable company, precedent transaction, and accretion/dilution) to evaluate potential investments and acquisitions.
- Performing financial analysis, including metric benchmarking, capital structure analysis, and valuation of target companies.
- Gathering and synthesizing financial and operating information about companies and industries to support Investment Committee decision-making.
- Preparing investment memoranda, pitch materials, and recommendations for presentation to the Investment Committee.
- Leading day-to-day diligence workstreams across financial, legal, and operational areas for M&A transactions and internal restructuring.
- Reviewing and helping negotiate transaction documents, including letters of intent and purchase agreements, in coordination with outside counsel.
- Sourcing, screening, and tracking new investment opportunities across the marketing and communications landscape.
- Conducting primary market, industry, and competitor research to inform deal theses and broader network strategy.
- Maintaining and updating data room materials and internal deal databases leveraged by senior leadership and deal teams.
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in finance, economics, accounting, or a related quantitative field, from a strong academic program.
- 0–1 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or a related analytical role. Strong academic finance/accounting coursework may be considered in lieu of full-time experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; comfort building financial models from scratch under tight timelines.
- Working knowledge of deal structures, valuation methodologies, and basic corporate legal documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analysis into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Highly detail-oriented and structured, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced, minimal-supervision environment.
Compensation & Benefits
In compliance with equal pay and salary transparency laws, the target range of total compensation for this role is $85,000–$95,000. Actual compensation is influenced by skill set, level of experience, and location.
In addition to medical, dental, and vision coverage, we offer a generous PTO plan, 401k program, comprehensive family planning benefits (including paid parental leave), tuition reimbursement, and pre-tax commuter benefits. Benefits/perks may vary depending on employment nature and location.
