Overview

Stagwell is seeking a Corporate Development / M&A Analyst to join its Investment & Strategy team, focused on sourcing, executing, and integrating acquisitions across the network.

0–1 years of investment banking, corporate development, or transaction advisory experience preferred. Please note this position is for immediate start.

Responsibilities

  • Source and maintain a pipeline of acquisition targets across the marketing, communications, and technology landscape.
  • Build acquisition and LBO-style models, including valuation, purchase price allocation, and pro forma projections.
  • Manage due diligence workstreams across financial, legal, tax, and operational areas for live transactions, including review of quality-of-earnings reports from third-party diligence providers.
  • Prepare investment committee materials, deal summaries, and transaction recommendations.
  • Support negotiation and drafting of transaction documents, including LOIs, purchase agreements, and disclosure schedules, in coordination with legal counsel.
  • Coordinate with target company management and cross-functional Stagwell teams during diligence and integration.
  • Track and report on the status of the active deal pipeline and closed transaction integration milestones.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in finance, accounting, or a related quantitative field.
  • 0–1 years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, transaction advisory, or private equity.
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills; advanced Excel proficiency required.
  • Familiarity with M&A transaction documents and the overall deal lifecycle, from sourcing through integration.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deals and workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly numerate with strong attention to detail; ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines in a fast-paced deal environment.

Compensation & Benefits

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, the target range of total compensation for this role is $85,000–$95,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
