As a Relationship Banker in a Chase branch, you will represent our brand and culture with the utmost hospitality, using the latest banking solutions and financial technology alongside friendly and attentive service. You will take a lead role in acquiring, managing, and retaining meaningful client relationships. By applying your financial knowledge, you will offer thoughtful solutions to address clients’ financial needs, make their lives easier, and contribute to the success of the branch.
Responsibilities
- Put clients first and exceed their expectations by delivering attentive, friendly service and creating a welcoming environment.
- Manage assigned clients and proactively meet with them in person and over the phone to build lasting relationships, understand their financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
- Use clear, polite, consultative communication to understand and assist clients. Ask questions, listen actively, build trust, and anticipate their needs.
- Educate clients about and connect them to technology solutions, including the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs, to help them manage their banking needs whenever, wherever, and however they want.
- Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to consult effectively with clients about banking solutions.
- Collaborate with and connect clients to team members and experts who can assist with specialized financial needs.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- At least one year of sales experience in retail banking, financial services, or another related industry, with proven success establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
- Ability to create memorable client experiences and elevate the overall client experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone, with the ability to tailor product and service features and benefits to clients with differing needs.
- Ability to quickly and effectively resolve client issues with attention to detail while providing a consistent client experience.
- Ability to operate within established risk parameters and tolerances and meet internal and external risk and compliance obligations, including completing required training.
- High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent.
- The Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, state registration, including Series 63 if required, and life insurance licenses are minimum requirements. Unlicensed applicants must obtain their licenses through JPMC’s licensing program within 180 days of hire. Study materials and support are provided.
- Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- College degree or military equivalent.
- Experience adhering to banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Dodd-Frank and Truth in Lending Act Requirements
This position is subject to the Dodd-Frank and Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for loan originators. An employment offer for this position is contingent on JPMC’s review of your criminal conviction history, credit report, information available through NMLS, and any other information relevant to determining whether you demonstrate financial responsibility, good character, and general fitness for the position. Any felony conviction within the last seven years will disqualify you from consideration. Continued employment in this position is contingent upon compliance with Truth in Lending Act and Dodd-Frank loan originator requirements.
This position also requires registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) under the SAFE Act of 2008. Upon active employment with JPMorganChase, you must either register with NMLS or update your existing registration to reflect your employment with JPMorganChase. Continued employment is contingent upon compliance with the SAFE Act, including successful registration immediately after your start date and timely completion of annual renewals and required updates.
Information obtained during registration, update, and renewal processes or through NMLS notifications may impact your employment with the firm.
