The BNP Paribas Open Sophomore Opportunity Summit is a virtual, two-day interactive experience developed in partnership with BNP Paribas Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). The Summit is designed to immerse students in the culture of BNP Paribas and introduce potential career opportunities in the Banking and Markets business units.

What the Summit Will Explore

• BNP Paribas’ net-zero commitment, sustainability initiatives, and sustainable financing efforts, including insights from the people leading this work.
• Inclusion and belonging as essential elements of BNP Paribas’ culture, with perspectives from ERGs focused on creating an inclusive environment, supporting professional and personal growth, and promoting allyship.
• Continued learning and development opportunities throughout the career journey.
• Ways BNP Paribas supports employees through ERG engagement, mentorship, competitive benefits, and wellness offerings.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate sophomore-level students graduating between Winter 2028 and Spring 2029 are eligible to apply.
• All majors and academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
• A GPA of 3.3 or higher is preferred.

Employee Resource Group Partners

The BNP Paribas Open Sophomore Opportunity Summit is hosted in partnership with the following Employee Resource Groups:

• MixCity USA: The Group’s gender diversity ERG, open to women and men. MixCity USA promotes gender equity by developing, empowering, and increasing the representation of women in the organization. This includes nonbinary, transgender, cisgender, and all individuals who identify as women.
• ABILITY: Provides a network for employees with disabilities and those close to people with disabilities. The ERG focuses on physical and mental health challenges and supports career development initiatives, including an annual Mentoring and Networking Day for local college students.
• Asian ERG: Champions diversity, equity, and inclusion; celebrates multicultural heritage; and promotes awareness of challenges affecting the Asian American and Pacific Islander community. The ERG supports cultural understanding, professional knowledge exchange, networking, and community engagement.
• Interfaith ERG: Offers a forum for spiritual and religious diversity in the workplace. The ERG supports professional development by examining business, economic, social, and environmental topics through the perspectives of various spiritual faiths while connecting professionals interested in faith and work.
• Military ERG: Brings together veterans and non-veterans to support meaningful initiatives, including philanthropic efforts for homeless and wounded veterans and programs that assist service members transitioning to civilian and corporate life.
• PRIDE ERG: Fosters a welcoming workplace for the LGBTQ+ community by supporting members, facilitating connections, and promoting inclusion, equality, and solidarity. LGBTQ+ employees and allies come together to celebrate sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression while providing awareness, resources, and support.
• REACH ERG: An inclusive, community-based group for employees of all affinities, focusing on career paths and the growth and development of junior staff. Through events across business lines and functions, REACH helps professionals build connections and actively manage their careers.
• BOLD ERG: Provides a supportive community that celebrates employees representing the Black diaspora and fosters camaraderie and connection. The ERG supports professional development, cultural and social engagement, and allyship to help build a strong and sustainable employee base.

What to Expect

The Summit will include:

• Fireside chats and panels hosted by current analysts, former interns, senior leaders, and BNP Paribas Employee Resource Groups.
• Open conversations and small-group sessions with business leaders and team members sharing their professional experiences and how they support BNP Paribas’ mission and values.
• Skills-building activities designed to strengthen your résumé and expand your professional knowledge and skill sets.
• Dedicated recruiting office hours with the Campus Recruiting team and hiring managers.
• Networking opportunities.

Following the virtual program, participants may be invited to interview for the 2028 Summer Analyst internship.
