Multifamily Loan Origination Intern - Summer 2027

Internship Overview

Greystone is seeking an Intern to join its Multifamily Loan Originations team for the Summer 2027 Internship Program. This program is designed for rising seniors pursuing an undergraduate degree.

The Intern will provide organizational and analytical support for various agency and proprietary debt products serving multifamily clients, including FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, CMBS, bridge, and mezzanine financing. This is an opportunity to build a foundation for a career in commercial real estate by working alongside industry experts on real projects and helping teams solve client challenges.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze real estate financial data for multifamily or healthcare properties.
• Complete loan sizing to support the team using property financials and internal financial models.
• Research markets, statistics, laws, and regulations.
• Draw conclusions from aggregate information and prepare summary opinions.
• Attend meetings and build relationships with internal Greystone team members and external third-party vendors.
• Enter property-specific financial information into database systems and Excel workbooks.

Required Experience, Skills, and Abilities

• Rising senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics from an accredited college or university.
• Fundamental real estate knowledge gained through prior internships or coursework.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and project management abilities.
• Strong time management skills and respect for deadlines.
• Driven, innovative team player focused on results and delivering high-quality work.
• Proven record of success in prior academic or professional experience.
• Unquestioned personal and professional integrity.

Compensation

Interns hired in New York City for Summer 2027 will be compensated at $29 per hour.
