Because the Analyst Program is aimed at candidates with "minimal work experience" rather than none, a rising senior weighing Greystone is choosing between applying to the Intern Program now or waiting to compete for the Analyst Program as a new graduate, two different entry points into the same firm.

Since October 2021, Cushman & Wakefield has held a 40% stake in Greystone's Agency, FHA, and Servicing lending platform, a $500 million investment independently reported by real estate and business trade press at the time. Greystone originates directly through Fannie Mae DUS, Freddie Mac Optigo, and FHA/HUD, the three main US government-backed multifamily lending programs. For an analyst or intern, this means exposure to a lender that sits inside the agency programs financing most of the US multifamily market, rather than brokering access to them, inside a business line partly owned by one of the largest commercial real estate services firms in the world.
