About the Role

BlackRock’s nine-week MBA Internship Program runs from June to August. It places you at the heart of BlackRock, where you’ll work with a team, gain exposure across our businesses, and connect with leaders who invest in your growth.

Eligibility: MBA students graduating between September 2027 and July 2028 with at least two years of relevant pre-MBA work experience.

Team Overview

Our relationship management professionals build and maintain client relationships, work closely with professionals across BlackRock to provide outstanding service, and are responsible for the strategy and distribution of BlackRock’s platform.

U.S. Wealth Advisory (USWA)

USWA manages the firm’s relationships with U.S. wealth managers and their advisors, who ultimately serve end investors. Representing a full suite of strategies—from iShares ETFs and mutual funds to separately managed accounts (SMAs), model portfolios, alternatives, portfolio solutions, and sub-advisory programs—USWA’s mandate is to deliver “One BlackRock” to our clients.

This Function Is Known For

  • Creating, communicating, and delivering investment solutions for clients worldwide while developing marketing strategies for new business growth, including cultivating relationships with key distributors of our investment products.
  • Operating in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment with work covering some of the firm’s most important and strategic relationships.

What Capabilities Are We Looking For?

  • Strong curiosity about exploring and understanding financial markets and the asset management industry.
  • Strong proficiency and demonstrated experience working in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Relationship management.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of data and information effectively.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate and partner with stakeholders at all seniority levels.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to navigate multiple stakeholders and contributors to an initiative or project.
  • Curiosity, critical thinking, learning agility, and sound judgment in technology-enabled decision-making, along with enthusiasm for AI, emerging technologies, and continuous innovation.

Our Hybrid Work Model

BlackRock’s hybrid work model supports a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship while providing flexibility. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with flexibility to work from home 1 day a week.
