2027 Guardian Summer Intern, Digital & Technology – Application Development

Our 2027 Summer Internship Program is a paid 10-week learning experience where you will be immersed in the daily environment of a thriving global financial services company. You will gain industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments, and you will work on projects that directly affect our business. You will also have opportunities to interact with senior leaders, network with employees and interns across our offices, and gain realistic insight into what it is like to work at Guardian.

You Are

A current junior (graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028) or current sophomore (graduation date of December 2028 or May 2029) who is fueled by collaboration, able to listen and make quick decisions, and thrives in a goal-oriented environment.

You Have

Required Qualifications

• Familiarity with modern software development concepts (e.g., Git, CI/CD, application architecture patterns, RESTful APIs, and end-to-end system interactions between browser, service, and database layers)
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge or experience working in an Agile environment is a plus
• Basic understanding of GenAI technologies (e.g., Copilot) and knowledge of LLMs is a plus
• Familiarity with Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)

• Be a self-starter—enjoy “rolling up their sleeves and getting things done,” bring high energy and a strong work ethic, demonstrate the ability to work independently, and be creative
• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality applications for the assigned domain, leveraging and engaging with Cloud and/or GenAI technologies, if required
• Follow best practices and standards for coding, testing, and documentation
• Develop proof of concepts using modern technology stacks
• Work and learn from supportive leaders, mentors, and team members who will coach you as you develop your professional career
• Learn about Guardian’s purpose, values, how we work, and our suite of product and service offerings
• Build a network of colleagues and develop a sense of community with other interns and business teams
• Think broadly and ask questions about data, facts, and other information

Eligibility

• Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H-1B and green card sponsorship are not available for this position.
• You must be available for the full program dates.

Salary Range

$20.00 – $35.00 per hour.

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
