2027 Guardian Summer Intern, Actuary

Overview

Our 2027 Internship Program is a paid, 10-week learning experience where you will be immersed in the daily environment of a thriving global financial services company. You will gain industry and organizational knowledge through daily business interactions and job assignments, work on projects that directly affect our business, engage with senior leaders in conversational settings, and network with employees and fellow interns across our offices.

Internship Dates

The internship program will run from Thursday, May 27, 2027 to Friday, August 6, 2027.

Who You Are

A current junior (graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028) who is energized by collaboration, able to listen and make quick decisions, and thrives in a goal-oriented environment.

Required Qualifications

• Passed at least one actuarial exam
• Curiosity about problem solving and technical skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with departmental actuarial tasks, such as pricing or valuation
• Use Microsoft Excel and other software to perform analysis
• Present work and results to a broader audience
• Think broadly and ask questions about data, facts, and other information
• Act as a self-starter—enjoy rolling up your sleeves, working independently, and delivering high-quality work

Eligibility

• Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship (now or in the future) for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered.
• H-1B and green card sponsorship are not available for this position.
• You must be available for the full program dates of the internship.

Compensation

Salary Range: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour.

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The final salary will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, the role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
