The Global Wealth Management (GWM) mission is to create industry-leading experiences for financial intermediaries and their individual investor clients while contributing to PIMCO’s overall business results. Within GWM, the Private Family Capital (PFC) team provides relationship management, business development, and client coverage for single-family offices and other ultra-high-net-worth investors. The team delivers personalized service and tailored investment solutions to meet the specific needs of single-family office clients and prospects. An analyst’s primary responsibility is to support PIMCO’s investment professionals and ensure delivery of the highest level of service to our clients.
Position Details
Positions will be located in PIMCO’s Newport Beach, CA headquarters, Austin, Texas, or New York, New York (strong preference for Newport).
Eligibility Requirements
You’re eligible to apply if you:
- Are pursuing an undergraduate degree.
- Can begin full-time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2028 – August 2028.
- Are enrolled at a university during the Fall 2027 semester (August 2027 – December 2027).
- Have a minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university.
- Are business proficient in English.
- Have an interest in alternatives investments.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this role include:
- Supporting Account Managers with client-specific projects, team-wide initiatives, and customized due diligence requests from single-family office clients and prospects.
- Assisting with the preparation of client materials, briefing materials, and strategic projects supporting the growth of the Private Family Capital business.
- Conducting research on investment strategies, market themes, industry trends, and prospective clients to support client engagement and portfolio discussions.
What You’ll Excel At (Qualifications)
You’ll excel as a Global Wealth Management (GWM), PFC Account Analyst if you:
- Show strong interest in financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment finance, demonstrated through relevant coursework, certifications, internship/work experience, and/or professional organization & campus club participation.
- Possess a solid foundation in finance and economics, and familiarity with basic investment concepts.
- Can articulate ideas and strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Have an interest in a client-facing career in finance, delivering investment solutions to sophisticated private investors.
- Are personable, ethical, collaborative, organized, adaptable, a problem-solver, self-starter, and accountable.
- Can multitask and handle several projects while delivering completed work within expected timelines and maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Have an interest in alternatives investments.
- Excel with Excel (proficiency recommended).
- Demonstrate curiosity and experience using new emerging technologies and AI tools in your work or school projects to solve problems and drive better outcomes.
Internship Experience
- The internship is a 10-week program running from early June to mid-August, with an expectation that you will be available for the full duration.
- During Week 1, you will participate in PIMCO Fundamentals Training to build skills, knowledge, and relationships for success.
- Alongside colleagues, participate in PIMCO’s Global Month of Volunteering.
- Join cross-divisional education, networking, and social events.
- Receive guidance and mentorship throughout the summer from your supervisor, peer mentor, senior leaders, and team.
- Gain hands-on experience with AI-powered tools from day one, supported by training and resources to build future-ready skills.
- Receive feedback at mid- and end-of-summer as part of a formal review process.
- As a PIMCO intern, you will receive competitive compensation, along with a transition bonus to help with relocation to one of our office locations.
Interview Process
- After receiving your application, we conduct an initial review of your resume.
- If selected to move forward, you will take a cognitive assessment and complete a one-way video interview to showcase your interests, skills, and personality.
- After completing the assessment and one-way video interview, you will participate in a final round of live video interviews, which typically include both behavioral and technical questions.

Compensation
PIMCO follows a total compensation approach that includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Hourly Rate: $43.26
