About Global Merchant Services (GMS) Marketing

Global Merchant Services (GMS) Marketing aims to grow American Express acceptance and transaction volumes by deepening our existing relationships with merchants. GMS Marketing develops and launches innovative, merchant-led marketing campaigns designed to capture higher cardmember spend at merchants where American Express is already accepted. Campaign examples may include offers with well-known large merchants, merchant competitions across our small merchant base, or ad-hoc campaigns delivered through key partners.

Internship Overview

Throughout this internship, the successful candidate will craft real-life marketing strategies to expand our diverse Amex network and contribute to business growth. You may engage with top creative agencies, help drive digital presence, and work on exciting product portfolios and partnerships—bringing them to life with your own ideas.

Work will involve using market and consumer data from previous campaigns, evaluating the external landscape, and analyzing internal data to identify trends.
