Associate, Investigations, Diligence & Compliance - Core

About the Role

Join Kroll’s Global Investigations, Diligence and Compliance Core team and gain hands-on experience in compliance consulting. We are seeking motivated, detail-oriented individuals to contribute as new joiners at Kroll.

Through expertise, global research capabilities, and flexible technology tools, the Investigations, Diligence and Compliance Core practice helps clients take a risk-based approach to meeting obligations or remediating failures related to anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and related regulatory mandates. These include pre-transactional intelligence; vendor, supplier, and distributor due diligence; vendor screening and monitoring; country and industry risk; and bespoke inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Conduct increasingly complex English- and foreign-language research using public record databases, commercial and proprietary databases, media sources, and the Internet.
• Analyze and synthesize relevant research findings.
• Write well-structured, concise, logical, and objective reports to provide clients with an accurate assessment of findings (most reports are written in English).
• Manage multiple assignments end-to-end by conducting extensive Internet, database, and media research into companies and individuals to assess legitimacy, general background, and overall reputation of subject companies and their principals.

Requirements

• Native or equivalent English language proficiency in reading comprehension.
• Extremely strong English reading and writing skills, with the ability to quickly summarize information from multiple sources into a concise analytical assessment.
• Proficiency in Arabic, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Russian, or Turkish (required).
• 1–2 years of professional experience (including internships).
• Undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited university majoring in International Relations/Affairs, Regional Studies, Political Science, Criminal Justice, Law, or a related field.
• Ability to conduct online research using various primary and secondary sources.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to accept and apply constructive feedback.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects or assignments simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• Customer-service orientation with dedication to quality and strong attention to detail.

• Basic knowledge of litigation, regulatory, sanctions, and corporate organization/structure terminology and concepts.
• Experience working with diverse teams or in international environments (highly desirable).
