Analyst, Credit Middle Office – Controls and Oversight
Support the Private Banking business by serving the complex wealth management needs of ultra-high net worth clients across the world. As an Analyst in the Credit Middle Office Controls and Oversight team, you will help ensure robust risk management, process integrity, and compliance across credit operations through monitoring, reviewing, and enhancing control frameworks.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify, own, and develop effective solutions to enhance controls and mitigate risk.
- Serve as a point of contact for audit coordination, including control assessment processes and supporting the timely submission of Requests for Information (RFIs) for internal and external audits.
- Ensure governance and oversight of business operational risks, including issue tracking and escalations.
- Support the development and maintenance of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for credit operations.
- Oversee governance of credit legal documentation and liaise with internal and external legal teams regarding templates.
- Explore and develop automation opportunities for existing reports using Intelligent Automation tools such as Alteryx, Python, Unqork, and UiPath.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in Credit Risk or Lending within a financial institution.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use qualitative and quantitative tools to analyze complex financial situations.
- Strong presentation and communication skills (written and verbal).
- High attention to detail with strong time management.
- Team-oriented mindset; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated interest in financial markets and understanding of risk measures.
- Basic knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Model solutions.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience with process mapping and control design.
- Good understanding of Private Banking credit products, financial markets, and the securities industry.
- Proficiency in Tableau, Alteryx, Python, Unqork, and/or UiPath.
