2027 Equity Research Summer Intern Program

Location: New York

Salary Range: $110,000 (pro-rated for Summer)

Leerink Partners offers a ten-week Summer Intern program to accomplished students in their penultimate year of undergraduate studies. This is an opportunity to join a world-class research team focused on the innovation economy in the Healthcare sector. The internship allows interns to support the day-to-day responsibilities of full-time equity research professionals.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect, evaluate, and apply statistical and financial data on the economy and financial markets, specifically for researching common stocks within the healthcare industry.
• Analyze and synthesize researched data and present trends and ideas regarding business opportunities and investment decision-making processes.
• Observe interviews with company executives and industry leaders to develop and maintain sources of information for analyses.
• Maintain company databases using spreadsheet and database software.
• Prepare reports, opinions, recommendations, and statistical data, including financial statement modeling, to support the firm’s investment policies and/or recommendations.

Experience and Qualifications Required

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in your junior year (Class of 2028).
• Ability to potentially convert to a full-time employee in the summer following the internship (July 2028).
• Some healthcare exposure, either academically or job-related (preferred).
• Interest in the stock market and Healthcare equity investment research.
• Experience building pro forma financial models, including forecasting revenue, income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
• Ability to synthesize data and articulate findings through excellent written and oral presentation skills.
