Private Capital Markets Advisory Summer Analyst Program (New York)

Evercore’s Private Capital Markets Advisory Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week intensive program designed to provide highly motivated students with a representative experience in evaluating and developing capital structure solutions (credit and equity) for a variety of mandates. These mandates include strategic alternatives, mergers & acquisitions, and complex financing execution assignments, typically executed on behalf of public and private companies, management teams, or alternative institutional investors. The Program seeks intelligent, mature individuals who are flexible and interested in learning and working in a boutique environment. Summer Analysts must be able to work on several projects concurrently and demonstrate a strong desire to learn and work hard.

Responsibilities

As part of the Private Capital Markets Advisory team, Summer Analysts will work on assignments across the breadth of Evercore’s product and service offerings, including:

• Developing market views across private equity, leveraged loan, high-yield, and private credit markets
• Preparing materials supporting these views for internal Evercore and external client presentations
• Structuring and evaluating debt and/or equity commitments related to buyside M&A opportunities, minority equity transactions, growth capital raises, and credit solutions
• Performing financial modeling and resolving complex accounting issues
• Analyzing financial statements and credit documentation
• Coordinating closely with industry and M&A bankers and other Evercore product functions, including Activism / Defense, ECM, Restructuring, Tax Advisory, and others, on holistic capital structure advisory mandates
• Working as part of small teams with close contact with client contacts and senior bankers and partners

Candidate Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree with a graduation date between December 2028 and June 2029
• Demonstrated excellence in academic coursework and leadership on campus
• Strong interest in special situations, leveraged finance, and minority equity transactions
• Curiosity in private markets (credit and equity)
• High intellectual curiosity and a track record of problem solving (independently or as a member of a small team), with a desire to learn more about capital structure and capital allocation
• Outstanding analytical, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills
• Enthusiastic, outgoing, achievement-oriented character with a strong work ethic
