Position Summary
The Accounting team oversees end-to-end accounting and financial reporting for a suite of private funds and related entities. This is a hands-on, broad-scope position where you will manage quarterly closes, prepare fund audits, interface directly with investment and operations teams, and drive continuous improvements in reporting and processes. The ideal candidate brings strong technical fund accounting expertise, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage complex fund structures. This role is based in our New York City office and is full-time.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accounting and financial reporting for alternative investment products (hedge funds, structured products, private equity, CLOs, BDCs, SPVs)
- Prepare financial statements for annual audits of alternative investment products
- Prepare capital statements, holdings reports, and financial statements for investors
- Prepare all fee calculations for alternative investment products, including management fees, incentive, carried interest, and expense reimbursements
- Review fund administrator prepared accounting and financial reporting deliverables
- Prepare invoice payments for alternative investment products
- Produce accurate and timely regulatory reporting related to alternative investment products to:
- SEC (Form PF, ADV)
- NFA/CFTC (PQR, PR)
- Treasury (Reg U, TIC)
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA strongly preferred
- Strong communication (written and verbal), analytical, and spreadsheet skills
- Exposure to investment companies such as hedge funds, private equity funds, mutual funds, CLOs, or similar accounting
Basic Qualifications
- BS/BA required
- 1–3 years of prior public accounting/fund accounting experience in financial services
Salary Range
Annual base salary between $95,000 and $105,000.
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
