Quantitative Analysis Associate Program Intern (Markets)
Are you ready to bring your knowledge from the classroom to the trading floor? Citi is looking for intern analysts to join our Markets team in London. Markets at Citi provides world-class solutions to corporates, institutions, governments, and individual investors in 160 countries and territories. Working across trading floors in over 80 countries, we support clients through our underwriting, structuring, securitisation, sales and trading, and distribution capabilities across asset classes and currencies, and across sectors and industries. Our expertise includes equities, commodities, credit, futures, and foreign exchange (FX).
Citi is also looking for talented individuals to join our Quantitative Analysis associate program within the Markets team in London. In Markets, we advise clients on investment opportunities, including equities, commodities, credit, futures, and foreign exchange (FX), and we buy, sell, and structure these investments. The Quantitative Analysis associate program offers opportunities in the Quantitative Analysis group, along with Structuring or Exotics Trading desks. Here, new insights from finance and academia drive innovation and excellence in mathematical and quantitative trading, with incoming associates working alongside experienced professionals to develop their skills in these areas.
The Quantitative Analysis associate program starts in the summer of 2026 and begins with an introductory training program alongside our analyst class. As an incoming hire, you will gain exposure to senior professionals who will serve as mentors throughout the program.
Your Time Here Will Look Like This
- Empower you to create, implement, and manage the mathematical models that drive success within the Markets business.
- Offer the opportunity to price, trade, and manage the risk associated with a diverse range of market products.
- Enable collaboration with traders and salespeople in technical product areas to support client needs.
- Support innovation by encouraging development of new products aligned with the firm’s risk framework.
- Provide a platform to market new products to salespeople and occasionally assist in presenting solutions directly to clients.
- Provide the opportunity to respond to client-specific requests for product solutions, leveraging expertise and creativity.

We are also looking for the following:
- Have obtained or be in the process of obtaining a Double Masters or PhD in Engineering, Maths, Physics, Computer Science, or other scientific disciplines.
- Have a good understanding of finance and an interest in Markets.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of programming languages (VBA, Python) is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong attention to detail and exceptional planning and organisational skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and a proactive approach to seeking out new and creative ideas.
- Be a self-starter who thrives independently and as part of a collaborative team, with strong commitment to personal growth and career development, including mobility and flexibility.
- Have an unwavering commitment to integrity and ethical decision-making.
- Be fluent in written and spoken English.
Location and Work Style
