Strategy and Management Program
The Strategy and Management Program is our elite, two-year development program that prepares teammates to become future corporate leaders at Bank of America. It provides direct experience in Digital Technologies, FinTech, Strategy, Innovation, and Management.
Teammates will work in our innovation function (Bank of America Strategy and Business Ventures), helping drive strategic growth initiatives across our core business units. You will be exposed to multiple parts of the business and learn how to develop, test, launch, and operationalize new strategies to better serve our clients.
You will participate in a comprehensive training curriculum taught by Bank of America and industry experts, designed to enable general manager capabilities. Bank of America’s Strategy & Business Ventures team functions as an internal strategic consulting function for a wide range of leaders across the bank. This group provides high-fidelity learning opportunities in broadly relevant skills (research, modeling, presentations, problem-solving methodologies, data visualization, and storytelling) and offers exposure to a diverse array of people, processes, and organizations within the bank.
As a Strategy and Business Ventures teammate, you will build and accelerate new business capabilities (client experience, product innovation, FinTech, strategic ventures, portfolio management). You will be part of the leading consumer financial services organization in the world, comprised of 70,000+ teammates serving 66 million clients, and consistently recognized for excellence, including 125+ industry awards in 2021 (Best Bank & Digital Bank, Best Bank for College Students, Most Innovative Bank, #1 Overall for Client Experience, Best Bank for Small Businesses, Top Company for Diversity Leadership, Best Workplace for Women, etc.).

Role: Strategy & Management Summer Intern
- Gain an exclusive preview of the two-year development program.
- Build an in-depth understanding of the business and client needs by supporting high-priority strategic initiatives across business units such as Product, Digital, and Small Business.
- Design and execute qualitative and/or quantitative analyses to test and analyze hypotheses.
- Help synthesize findings, develop recommendations, and communicate solutions to internal stakeholders.
- Work with a diverse group of high-performing peers and leaders within project teams.
- Gain an extensive understanding of the business and opportunities through exposure to senior leaders and industry-recognized experts at Bank of America.
- Partner with interns across the firm to participate in bank-sponsored volunteer and environmental, social, & governance initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate student enrolled in a full-time MBA or master’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a graduation timeframe between December 2026 and August 2027.
- Pursuing a field that includes, but is not limited to: Management, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Data Analysis, FinTech, Product Management, Project Management.
- 3–5 years of work experience between bachelor’s and MBA or master’s, with a demonstrated record of achievement.
- 3.2 minimum GPA preferred.
- History of high achievement and a highly motivated self-starter.
- Demonstrates curiosity and a growth mindset, and can adapt quickly to change in a positive manner.
- Gets excited about solving problems.
- Appreciates an environment that supports learning, innovation, and intelligent risk-taking.
- Demonstrates analytic problem-solving skills with a creative outlook.
- Builds and nurtures strong relationships while collaborating to get things done.
- Demonstrates strong logical reasoning, listening, communication, and presentation skills.
