College Intern - Data Science

Work with an enterprising team of engineers to digitally accelerate operations and provide solutions to track, analyze, and visualize manufacturing operations and outbound quality of HP’s products.

What You’ll Do

• Work with an enterprising team of engineers to digitally accelerate operations and provide solutions to track, analyze, and visualize manufacturing operations and outbound quality.
• Design, build, and maintain data infrastructure, pipelines, and architecture to support data-driven initiatives.
• Develop data models, create robust processes, and ensure data quality and security.
• Use AWS tools such as S3, SageMaker, Lambda, Glue, and Redshift.
• Create and maintain high-quality documentation for systems, processes, codebases, and workflows.
• Generate actionable insights through data analysis and an understanding of operational processes.
• Develop methodologies for optimizing business processes through data visualization, real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and related techniques.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Industrial Engineering.
• Ability to commit to a 5–6 month full-time internship starting in January 2027.
• Strong programming knowledge in languages such as Python or Java, and expertise with SQL databases.
• Analytical thinking and ability to understand operational processes, including interest in root cause analysis for effective problem solving.
• Knowledge of statistics and probability.
• Good visualization skills, including creating real-time dashboards and charts to highlight trends and provide insights.
