Global Finance & Business Management (GF&BM) Summer Internship

The Global Finance & Business Management (GF&BM) 9-week Summer Internship serves as a gateway to the 3-year GF&BM Analyst Program. Top-performing interns will be offered a position to join in September 2028. The program provides comprehensive industry training, mentorship, and practical experience. Participants also have the opportunity to pursue and complete the optional Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification.

Job Summary

As a Global Finance & Business Management Summer Analyst, you will help drive strategic business decisions and ensure the company can navigate all types of market environments while maintaining a strong balance sheet. Within JPMorgan Chase, GF&BM is a dynamic organization that plays a critical role as regulatory and capital requirements continue to impact how business is conducted. You will be placed as a member of one of the finance teams in one of the functional groups below.

Job Responsibilities

You will be placed as a member in one of the finance teams where you will work in one of the following functional groups:

• Product Control is responsible for ensuring the overall integrity and validity of risk associated with daily/weekly/monthly P&L and Balance Sheet. As a product controller, you will provide crucial support to the trading desk, Financial Control, Market Risk, and other functions, fostering strong communication and collaboration. A rotation in Product Control is a mandatory part of the program.
• Legal Entity Control is responsible for financial oversight of their legal entity and for ensuring a strong control environment exists as it relates to all businesses, products, and operational areas impacting the Legal Entity financials and the firm’s regulatory reporting.
• Financial Control is responsible for ensuring the overall integrity and validity of the general ledger and controls over the transaction cycle, including performing critical reporting and control functions.
• Planning and Analysis create meaningful analysis and reporting to support the business. Coordinate with partners across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, and to coordinate financial planning and forecasting.
• Regulatory Reporting & Capital Policy is responsible for the preparation and submission of reporting to regulators, monitoring regulatory capital requirements, interpreting, applying, and implementing rules and policies, and providing guidance to the businesses.
• Business Management are trusted advisors to business heads by identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. They optimize business performance by leading key initiatives. This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Program Management contribute to large-scale initiatives that drive cross-line-of-business or firm-wide agendas for implementation of new regulations, standards, or policies.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities

• A well-rounded academic background with an interest in financial management.
• An expected graduation year of 2028.
• Basic understanding of financial statements, accounting procedures, internal and external reporting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
