Investment Banking Summer Associate (Program Overview)

Spend your summer working alongside top professionals to develop solutions that help shape the global economy. Our bankers focus on long-term relationships and strategies that support government, institutional, and corporate clients in growing and innovating—through sound advice, access to funds, and strong connections—while helping clients manage the risks of today’s complex environment. Industry and product teams work together to develop and execute strategies for clients in global markets.

As an Investment Banking Summer Associate, you will collaborate with leading professionals to devise solutions that influence the global economy. You will build long-term relationships and craft strategies that support the growth and innovation of government, institutional, and corporate clients. Your role includes providing sound advice, facilitating access to capital, fostering connections, and helping clients navigate complex market conditions and risk. You will work with industry and product teams to develop and implement strategies that help clients expand and meet their goals in global markets.

Investment Banking Summer Associate Program

The program is nine weeks long. It begins with four days of orientation and training to build technical and practical skills. Top performers may receive a full-time job offer at the end of the summer.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze market data, build detailed financial models, and prepare client presentations for mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and capital markets advisory
• Manage client transactions from pitch to close under the guidance of senior leaders
• Develop innovative and creative approaches to solve complex, real-world business challenges
• Learn how the firm helps clients and communities grow, based on their needs
• Sharpen technical skills
• Build your professional network with mentors, senior executives, and others

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Pursuing an MBA degree with an expected graduation date of December 2027 – June 2028
• Enrolled in an MBA program in the U.S.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and interpretative skills
• Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative work environment
• Adaptable, flexible, and resilient
• Comfortable using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Enrolled in a traditional full-time 2-year MBA program
