Program Description: 2027 Summer Analyst Program (Hong Kong)

Summer Analysts in Hong Kong will have the opportunity to work across the Strategic Advisory Group, Restructuring & Special Situations Group, and Private Capital Solutions.

Strategic Advisory Group

The Strategic Advisory Group consists of one of the most experienced investment banking teams in the industry and has been involved in some of the largest, most complex transactions of the past twenty years. Our global team focuses on a diverse set of industries, including financial institutions, healthcare, industrials, energy, power & utilities, real estate, and technology, media & telecommunications.

Restructuring & Special Situations Group

The Restructuring and Special Situations Group advises large companies, governments, and creditor groups in financially distressed situations. The group has been involved in many of the largest and most high-profile reorganizations in the last decade. In a restructuring transaction, a wide range of strategic advisory services are provided, including advice on recapitalizations, reorganizations, corporate valuations, exchange offers, distressed mergers and acquisitions, and raising debt and equity capital.

Private Capital Solutions (PJT Park Hill)

As a division of PJT Park Hill, the Private Capital Solutions practice is one of the most experienced investment banking teams in the industry and has been involved in some of the largest, most complex transactions since its founding in 2008. The practice is fully integrated within the broader PJT Partners platform, leveraging the firm’s global relationships to deliver results across the private capital universe. The team focuses on independent advisory and execution services to financial sponsors and institutional investors across a broad spectrum of strategic transactions, including:

• Financial Sponsor Solutions: fund recapitalizations, fund restructurings, tender offers, preferred equity/other debt-oriented solutions, management team spinouts, and portfolio asset sales
• Structured Liquidity Solutions: securitizations, refinancing of illiquid financial holdings, and joint ventures
• Institutional Investor Solutions: divestiture of private fund interests, valuation of private fund interests, and transaction structuring and execution support

Responsibilities

Summer Analysts will work on a wide range of transactions across the three groups described above, including sell-sides, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, recapitalizations, private placements, leveraged buyouts, restructuring, continuation funds, and secondaries transactions. Summer Analysts are expected to be involved in the development, structuring, and financing of transactions and will have the opportunity to attend internal and client meetings, negotiations, and due diligence sessions. Summer Analyst work will include:

• Financial analysis and modeling
• Drafting client presentations
• Preparing memoranda for internal and external use
• Conducting financial and other business-related research
• Coordinating complex and often time-sensitive processes
• Assisting in the execution of transactions
• Actively supporting client-facing situations

Qualifications

Requirements

To be considered for the 2027 Summer Analyst Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Fluent English-speaker and business proficient in at least one Asian language
• Currently enrolled as a full-time university student
• Anticipated graduation date: Winter 2027 – Summer 2028
• CV must include expected graduation month/year and grades
