Programme Description

The off-cycle internship is a 5-month programme running from January 2027 through May 2027. Off-Cycle Analysts in London will have the opportunity to work across the Strategic Advisory Group and the Restructuring & Special Situations Group. Successful Off-Cycle Analysts will be considered for a Full-Time Analyst return offer, pending performance on the job.

The Strategic Advisory Group includes one of the most experienced investment banking teams in the industry and has been involved in some of the largest, most complex transactions of the past twenty years. Our global team focuses on a diverse set of industries, including financial institutions, healthcare, industrials, energy, power & utilities, real estate, and technology, media & telecommunications.

The Restructuring and Special Situations Group advises large companies, governments, and creditor groups in financially distressed situations. The group has been involved in many of the largest and most high-profile reorganizations in the last decade. In restructuring transactions, a wide range of strategic advisory services are provided, including advice on recapitalizations, reorganizations, corporate valuations, exchange offers, distressed mergers and acquisitions, and raising debt and equity capital.

Responsibilities

Off-Cycle Analysts will work on a wide range of transactions, including sell-sides, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, recapitalizations, private placements, and leveraged buyouts. They are expected to be involved in the development, structuring, and financing of transactions and may attend internal and client meetings, negotiations, and due diligence sessions. Work will include:

• Financial analysis and modeling
• Drafting client presentations
• Preparing memoranda for internal and external use
• Conducting financial and other business-related research
• Coordinating complex and often time-sensitive processes
• Assisting in the execution of transactions
• Actively participating in client-facing situations

Qualifications

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a full-time university student or a recent graduate (graduation no earlier than June 2026)
• Available to start from January 2027
• Graduation date no later than June 2027
