SAP’s strategy is to help every business run as an intelligent, sustainable enterprise. As a market leader in enterprise application software, we help companies of all sizes and in all industries run at their best. Our machine learning, Internet of Things (IoT), and advanced analytics technologies help turn customers’ businesses into intelligent enterprises.

Purpose and Objectives

SAP’s Global Communications (GC) team positions SAP and its leaders as innovators with influential audiences on select, highly relevant topics. Our strategy is to disrupt the information environment with relentless curiosity, compelling content, and rapid execution.

This internship will support the Asia Pacific (APAC) GC team. You will be exposed to different aspects of SAP’s corporate communications functions, including media relations, industry analyst relations, content creation, and executive and employee communications.

The goal of this internship is to provide hands-on experience working on integrated communications projects for the Asia Pacific region, comprising Southeast Asia, Greater China, Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and India, as key markets.

Expectations and Tasks

The successful candidate will play an active role in the planning and execution of external and internal communications activities across APAC. You will participate in the implementation of communication campaigns—including employee, executive, and partner communications—and in content creation, from conceptualisation to execution. You will also support storytelling strategies across traditional and social media channels, gaining insights into global communications work in a fast-paced, multinational organisation.

Examples of day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting the creation and distribution of public relations (PR) content, including media pitches, press releases, by-line articles, blogs, and similar materials.
  • Creating infographics, videos (filming and editing), internal announcements, social media posts, PowerPoint presentations, executive briefing documents, and visual reports.
  • Providing logistics support and staffing for internal and external communication events.
  • Assisting with reporting and documentation, including simple graphic design and visual enhancements, related to media activities and coverage.
  • Coordinating regional guidance and reporting with local market unit (MU) communications leaders from the APAC Communications hub.
  • Taking the lead on the internal APAC ONE Newsletter (monthly to all APAC employees), including content collation, creating the newsletter layout, sending out the newsletter, updating the relevant APAC SharePoint site, and gathering feedback to ensure continuous relevance and improvements.
  • Assisting with the organisation of internal events, including townhalls, coffee corners, and/or webinars.

Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies

We are looking for candidates who dare to challenge conventional wisdom, offer unique perspectives, and conceive innovative solutions—especially with AI tools—to effectively bridge the communication gap with influential audiences.

  • Currently pursuing a diploma, degree, or master’s in Digital Media, Mass Communications, Marketing, Computer Science, Political Science, Business, English Language/Literature, or a related field.
  • Strong oral and written English skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Tech-savvy self-starter with a proactive approach and a keenness to learn and share.
  • Team player eager to partner with colleagues and contribute to the team’s success.
  • Prior experience in communications, marketing, content editing, multimedia design, or video production (filming and editing) is an advantage.
