  • Use basic knowledge of the theory and operation of more complex analytical instrumentation (e.g., particle size, particle counts).
  • Apply basic knowledge of general chemistry and/or materials analysis theory.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of routine chemical laboratory procedures, equipment, and chemical nomenclature.
  • Handle large fluid containers using a pallet jack/forklift (some lifting of containers required).
  • Perform basic, non-standard lab practices (e.g., filtration).
  • Set up and conduct simple experiments.
  • Properly use a lab notebook.
  • Perform non-routine work following clear directions.
  • Discuss simple theoretical concepts.
  • Perform chemical formulations.
  • Understand and interpret the periodic table.

Education

  • Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or a related technical discipline.

Experience

  • Typically 1–2+ years of laboratory, formulation, manufacturing, or product development experience in chemical, materials, coatings, inks, plastics, specialty chemicals, or related industries.
  • Fresh graduates with strong laboratory experience may also be considered.
  • Commitment to perform the job according to work instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to work efficiently and handle workload and schedule pressures.
  • Possess a positive, “can-do” attitude with minimal supervision.

Preferred Experience

  • Candidates currently working in chemical labs will have an advantage.
  • Familiarity with formulation preparation, sample evaluation, and experimental execution.
  • Experience with laboratory documentation and data recording systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of ink chemistry and ink mixing.
  • Experience with PPE usage.
